Using IE8 with XP, your first link went straight to the song. I did get the security prompt asking me if I wanted to allow it to run the Media Player.

Your second link ("Is this better?") went to a page listing both files.

Rather than fiddle with third-party sites like Acid Planet, I pay about seven bucks per month for my own site with unlimited traffic. The plan was originally five bucks per month with a free traffic allowance of more than I ever used, but the hosting service ditched that plan and came up with the current plan which is why I have no reservations about posting links to big sound files at the highest quality the encoder in Audacity or Windows Media Player will support. (although I suspect those on dial-up look at the size of the file and say screw that)

With your own site, you have a lot more control over what you can do. You can post files in both WMA and MP3 format at whatever quality you want, and it is very simple for people to click on a link and play it with their preferred player they have on their PC. I suppose one drawback to doing it that way is people can download the file to their PC if that is something you would rather they not do.

I guess I have to credit to the unlimited traffic allowance for permitting the wife and I to run a thriving dorn business. 8) Hey, times are tough.

Dear Wade,

Try Amadeus Pro:

http://www.hairersoft.com/Welcome.html

It works like a word processor, but for sound. You can copy paste, add reverb, fade, etc. Cheap and a quality product for MAC!

It is unable to convert to WMA. Is this what Acid Planet needs?

Why not make a Facebook page for the quintet? It should be quick and easy to make.

ACIDPlanet requires files to be WMA or WMV or the other format that starts with an A (not aiff/aif, nor au).
Here is what you can save as:

You can probably download and check it out for a bit before deciding to purchase. Definitely very MAC friendly!
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I don't know if this will be helpful but on this thread
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=36526

There is a link to this music site
http://www.arcmus.com/

Which has a link to this site
http://www.litofontana.com/Recordings_4valves.htm

Which has one of the best layouts for sampling recordings I have seen. Convenient and slick.
Plus some excellent brass playing.
