Thanksgiving weather?

Post by MaryAnn »

Almost wrote "turkey day weather" but decided not to piss some people off.

Here in the desert Southwest, at noon, it is currently 71 degrees, partly cloudy, and breezy. I have the doors and windows open and am listening to the wind blow the trees.

I bet some of you are snow-covered.

Aurora, IL. 39 degrees and very Gray chance of rain/snow in the evening.
I like snow, I do snow plowing with my truck so snow=$$$ in the pocket. But that's usually a different opinion than most  .

It's 55 and sunny in NYC. It was about 50 and cloudy for the parade today -- perfect parade weather! :)

Abnormally warm today in Bozeman, MT, though there is still quite a bit of snow on the ground from a storm two weeks ago. Girlfriend and I are dining with some other fisheries grad students. We're bringing southern buttermilk biscuits and buttermilk pie.

It was a beautiful day here in the eastern Dakotas' 36F blue sky, tidbits of snow in the tree lines, perfect for football, hockey or a nap. I chose the later after the turkey. Hey Saskatoon, was that +2, Centigrade or Fahrenheit; that's' a big difference for us south of your border. Hope y'all had a great day. :) 8)

A "sugar" pie has some buttermilk in it...and an absolutely extraordinary amount of sugar. My wife makes these occasionally...mmmmMMMM !!!

bloke "Just like Aunt Bea used to make!"
Wouldn't surprise me. There is a considerable amount of sugar in the pie and it is damn tasty. Thankfully she only makes it once or twice a year.

West of you in Alberta, it's still +3 (that's 37F for all the 'mericans round here) at 11pm... it's been unusually warm the past few weeks but snow's in the forecast for tomorrow. All good things come to an end, unfortunately!

Started out overcast and warm, temp near 50 degrees. By "dinner time" (at my dinner, 2:00 p.m.) raining hard and dropped to 43 degrees. Rained all night through this morningg, and I am now looking at glorious sun and hope for a Black Friday motorcycle ride.

68 degrees?
Wow, we will not see the equivalent of that until June 2010!

It got into the mid 70s today. I've had the 20-inch shop fans running on high sitting in the doorways with the windows open trying to get as much free heat into the house as I can. So far, the temperature inertia of the place hasn't allowed it to get above 65 in the house.
