Tuba Christmas: Blue Ridge Georgia Sat. Nov, 28

Post by pattonsj »

For all you North Georgia guys. This will be the third year that Tuba Christmas has been in Blue Ridge. (If you know where Blue Ridge is, raise your hand) I've been over there both years. The group has grown. Still small but lots of fun. Hope to see you there. Yes, I know, Sande is from U of T but he's a nice guy and I can usually keep down the vomit that is caused by that dreadful color orange. :| (I guess it could be worse, it could be orange and blue.) Just the thought of it makes me feel quesy. Oh crap! I'm gonna be sick!

BLUE RIDGE - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28 - TIME: 11:00
LOCATION: Blue Ridge City Park
REGISTRATION: 9:00 am Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association, main gallery (BRMAA-old Fannin courthouse) 420 W. Main St.
REHEARSAL: 10:00 am same as registration
PARKING: On street near Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association.
NOTE: Bring music stand & clothespins to hold music. Dress warmly, outdoor concert, under tent if inclement weather.
CONDUCTOR: W. Sande MacMorran, U of TN

Hi Pattonsj,
I will be filling in for Sande this year - (so consider this year orange-free!)
I look forward to meeting you.

Sean, Great job today. The group sounded outstanding. Just wish we had played Komm Susser Tod. It's is my favorite chorale. I hope you can at least come play with us next year. In case you are wondering, I was sitting on your left playing the Kalison CC.

Thanks again, Josh

Ah! Next time, I promise. I had a great time, and yes, it was a great playing group.
