Changing bells on a Cerveny Piggy???

Anyone ever seen/done it?

The Piggy is compact for a 4/4 CC with a large bore...

If a larger (and also perhaps slightly taller) bell was added, what would need to be done aside from:

1.) Shortening the main slide (perhaps considerably depending on the bell size).
2.) Slightly rotating (not rebending)the leadpipe on it's axis (where it goes into the valveset), slightly out to the front.

I'm just curious as to how the sound/response/etc would change.

On the 5 valve models, there isn't much room for your hand to move the 1st valve slide, but it's manageable. I suppose the newer bell would have more room for ease of 1st slide movement...

Reason I ask that question is that Cerveny does at least three different wraps with the bore of the piggy. They probably know a lot about it.

The Piggy a specialty with its compactness compared to its bore. Changing any factor in the equation of that compromise and you will likely find yourself with an instrument with a more interesting scale tonality than you ever would dream ofm much less want.

If you want something different from the Piggy, the musically most productive method is to buy something different from the Piggy.
