That's easy for me. To this day, Nat King Cole is (was) my favorite male vocalist.

I feel much the same about Mel.

but both versions are the standard by which other singers are evaluated.

They're both great. I voted for Tormé because he's credited with co-writing the song.

Please don't start a heated discussion whether a composer is or is not the best performer of a piece of music.
