I was looking for info about the old newspaper cartoon and found this tuba related comic strip: Toonerville Folks

Cool old comix. It's funny how even decent artists have such trouble drawing tubas to any degree of accuracy, vs. say trombones or trumpets. I guess they only remember the big bell and just kind of fake the rest.

I vividly recall 'Toonerville Trolley' as being the very first tune I ever played. I think it was in the 4th grade. I have some of the parts in my march folio collection.

There are quite a few Youtube Toonerville Trolley clips - but nothing I see (on Google, anyway) of just a 'Toonerville Trolley' song. Is it the same as the soundtrack on the cartoons?

Oh no.... nothing like that. This was a tune in an elementary band method march folio title 'Fun For All' by Fred Weber. The march-sized folio was published in 1951 by Belwin. I have an extensive collection of march folios but all I have of this particular publication is the 1st and 2nd cornet book. This was in the 4th grade (I think).
