Got mine from an overhead heating/AC duct in my basement a few years ago (guess I shoulda duct a little lower ) ...
Got mine from a file cabinet on my first day as a Temp filing papers. Was there for 2 hours, injured myself, and then took the DC Metro to the hospital (with a bloody rag held to my head, not one person asked if I was okay!).
The upside? I went home later and got a phone call to set up a real job interview the next day. Went with 7 staples in my head and landed the job. Had I not busted my head open, I'd have missed the call!
Bloke is way off base expecting everyone to add $5.00 to a check.
He's mad at the bank and thinks his ridiculous suggestion will tarnish that bank.
I think he should be allowed to express his opinion at length in the "Off Topic" threads,
as long as he avoids Politics, Religion, dorn and commercial sales by non-sponsors of Tubenet.

Yep, I agree with Elephant on this one, that thread is dead and locked, and should have been when it was, I was pushing it to a level of B.S. for the fun of it. I was annoying and knew it. Who ever locked it, Thanks. I just hope Joe will sell me a set of "Bloke Washers" for my next horn, after I sell the Besson, which has synthetics, and I do like them a lot.
I went to the pub and had a couple beers before going to the mates place to feed his stock, as I have been doing for weeks while he has been in hospital and/or recovering.
Sat in the horse's yard and just had a quiet chat with them as they fed. Total peace and harmony with a couple honest mates that appreciated my company and I theirs.

SEVEN HOURS??? It has never taken me more than five with bad traffic on the Turnpike. That is really bad!
Yeah, it was pretty bad. Drove through PA (through Allentown) to get around the turnpike. Got to Newark in about 3.5 hours (great!) and then took another 3.5 hours to get over to Queens (not great!).

Just dropped off my Marzan with Chuck at BrassLab here in NYC. Cleaning, new felts, and removing a nasty bunch of creases from the bell. I've only heard great things about him, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do!
In my opinion, the immediately preceding post(Bloke's) should be pulled. It is much more relevant to life than virtually all the preceding ones in this thread.

Well, I tried a bunny companion for my cat, who is lonely but very aware of heirarchy among the house residents (from her point of view, I'm top (I'm "the Mommy who feeds her",) Harry is second, she is third.) I found that a rabbit is kind of dumb, needs more care than I want to put in, and my cat is afraid of him. Although she doesn't seem to feel threatened in the heirarchial sense as she would be with another cat.
So...even though he is sweet and has brightened things around here, he'll go back to the rescue organization. Phooey....maybe a hamster in a cage? Don't want another cat....Pepper is 17+ and looks like she will be around for quite a few more years, based on current complete lack of any disease or disorder. But you never know....I suppose she could go tomorrow.
Charlie is in there tearing up paper and digging away at his carboard box....can't let him on the carpet, would need fences all over the house. Apparently rabbits like to chew electrical cords too....so yeah this is a lot more maintenance than a cat. And I don't really want to come home to a fried rabbit.
