Japanese all girl high school band

Post by jtuba »

I'm having trouble finding the post with the youtube link to the all girl Japanese high school band video that was posted on here a couple of months ago. Help a brother out.

I can't find it either (maybe deleted?)
Youtube has a very good search function - big box at the top where you can type in: japanese all girl high school marching band (without quotes) and you will get a lot of hits.

This one features a rehearsal by the Tachibana School from Kyoto - they have played in many US parades and events over the years including the Atlanta Olympics. It used to be an all-girl band (don't know when that changed.) This one is a band made up of graduates from Tachibana and other bands (unfortunately only a short clip.)

This was a concert band performance that was outrageous. There were too many hits from the youtube search to be helpful, unless someone knows what piece the students were playing...

It's the Seika high school girls band.

Enjoy, again.

The one I originally saw on here was the hymn variations. But that is another good one! So is their marching show.

I know of at least a few directors that would almost kill for that complete instumentation! 6 horns, 4 bones, 3 tubas AND 2 Contabass Clarinets, plus a bass sax. Must be nice to have money!

Truly a marvelous performance by a beautiful bunch of kids.
But would you rather have your own kids become little robots in that band, or free spirits in one like this?

Um ... excuse me, but ... your prejudice is showing.

Not an all girl band, or even Japanese...or Highschool for that matter, but this kinda dropped my jaw...
