Been there, done that.

Two years ago was the "Battle of the GPS devices" - there was considerable disagreement about the
precise location of this very adequate restaurant. We all found it...eventually.

Dogfish Head 90 min. IPA is one of my favorite beers. It is 9% alcohol. Gotta find this place while I'm in Arlington. Don't drink more than one World Wide Stout if you want to see the concert (21%).

That beer sounds really good along with all the musicle entertainment during the day and a nice swimming pool to relax my back after a day of fun!! Looking forward to seeing all you people there and having a great time talking tuba I never get a chance to do that.. living in the sticks and only taking lessons once a month.....bigbob

For you conference veterans, do the vendors bring horns that can be bought and taken home and are there "conference discounts" on horns?

Thanks...

Yes, vendors bring horns that can be bought and taken home. Some vendors offer discounts on display horns to save the trouble of carting them back home, however, display horns are sometimes pre-sold.

It really depends on the vendor. Some bring mostly display models of new instruments, and those demos are still on the demo circuit (I recall from times gone by that the demo circuit ends with the TMEA conference in Texas which is a week or two after the Army conference). Sometimes the demo models are for sale; sometimes not. If you make an offer and have real money, more might be for sale than you imagine.

Several of the vendors will also bring a number of instruments that are used or new and these will all be for sale. Baltimore Brass, Dillon Music, and Lee Stofer in particular bring used instruments for sale.
