Last Friday at the Army Tuba Conference Carol played a short encore after the Carnival:

Please forgive my ignorance; what was it?

For those of you who missed it: The encore piece was Vizzutti's Cascades. I know someone probably missed it.

I think it's on some CD. Does anyone know the name of the CD?

I don't remember her name.
She sat in with my community band and played circles around me.
She let me play her horn. NICE!
I bet she didn't weigh 100 lbs at the time.
She seemed to phrase similarly well while site reading.
I had the same feeling as most of Carrol's fans - Where does all that air come from?
If you mean Biola, you must be talking about Beth Mitchell. You can see her latest here:

She's busy in Los Angeles playing and teaching. She sounds great!

I was sitting to one side during her recital, and you cannot imagine how explosively she can expand her chest cavity. I've never seen anything like it. I would not suspect that her vital capacity is all the large, but she fills it to the brim in about a millisecond.

Art, that encore piece was the title track on her CD, so you can hear it again if you want to.

I agree with all comments regarding the recital. One of those that makes you want to practice your butt off while wondering if it is a futile gesture! Baltimore Brass had the "Cascades" CD for sale at the conference and it can also be ordered from her website (among other places). Standard price seems to be $16. I was glad to have a copy for my leisurely drive home in the snow on Saturday.

Nah, couldn't be.
Nah, it's not. :)

the Bobo 188 isn't as shiny as that one and it has a kicker on the 5th valve.
