There's still this guy-bloke wrote:I liked the OLD days, when this same seller would offer pre-restored (read: beat-up) stuff like this for a few hundred bucks, and everyone was suspicious of him - just because he is in Bulgaria. Back then, I was actually able to get some "deals" from him.

Had I not seen the badge... I would have sworn this is a VMI/B & S. Still not so sure it isn't.

We do periodically disagree on this, eh?TubaTinker wrote:Had I not seen the badge... I would have sworn this is a VMI/B & S. Still not so sure it isn't.

Alexander's earlier (way pre-war) designs are not always quite what they are now.

$7,000 sounds rather over-priced to me for a 50 year old 3 valve BBb, even if an Alexander and restored. Who knows how it plays and with only 3 valves, and of limited potential use???
A lot more playable tubas than this have sat on here unsold for months even when at a lower price.

That is a beautiful tuba...but seriously, who is he kidding with that price? There is another Alex BBb in Canada with 4 valves for $7,950. I am a hardcore Alexander guy, but you have to be kidding me with the price of both. Do they want to sell them or not?
