Student passed away

Post by Chadtuba »

We had a young man pass away this morning from the school. He was a 6th grader who had fought brain cancer most of his short life. He always had a smile and a joke for everyone at our small school. These last couple of months had been very rough on him with his brain functions begining to shut down. Walking down the hall from the class room to the restroom had become a challenge for him. He is now smiling with his Almighty Father.

He wasn't one of my band students and as this is my first year at the school it isn't having a large impact on me personally, but I would ask for your prayers for all the students and the rest of the faculty at Finley-Sharon School. I would also ask for your prayers for me that I would be able to be a comfort to those hurting around me in the coming days.

A student death is always tough, even moreso at a small school. My prayers are with you and your school community.

My prayers are with you all. Lots of group hugs in order. Try to remember that he is hurting a lot less than you are right now, and that hasn't always been the case.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
