Wim, If you are in the UK some time, http://www.MrTuba.com had a 25J for sale the last time I was in there - but I might add at higher price than being asked here!
Thanks for the hint Jonathan!
Too bad Mr. Tuba does not list his used tubas on the website... that would have made some beautiful pictures I guess.
When I was at the Gronitz shop in Hamburg last year, they had 2 frontbell horns like this one on display, but I was too busy playing their own models...
well, i got to thinking and thought i should do more than just the little bit of playing around on the horn than i do here. so i played it in church again. Still plays as good as ever. (matter of fact if i didn't need a car I'd just keep it. I had forgotten how good it sounds up there)

Sounds like you should keep it Andrew! Situations change and I am sure you will regret selling in the long-term. Once one has played a BAT, nothing else is quite the same.
that's a good idea Marty. Now if someone could sell me a cheap V8 to attach to is and a few glass packs I can go anywhere. And hey. my sound system will have a lot of bass.
i had some one ask me about the mute. It's a humes and burge metal straight mute. the corks down the side are good and it is in good shape. no big dents or dings. i will try to post pics of it and the stand when i get more time.
Well I was trying to get some pictures of the 25j I used to own but I can't get them to fit right so I'm just giving the link to the old ad. It's satin silver with the original upright bell and 4th valve and very little dents especially for these horns. I'm still torn that I sold it. I loved it dearly but It did fund my upright bass so at least some good came of it.
I was also going to post that conn with the Sigfreid bell but I couldn't find it.
