TE miraphones vs non-TE miraphones--difference?
What exactly is the difference between a TE miraphone from Tuba exchange and a normal miraphone found elsewhere?

They don't have the decorations on the ferrules and slide tubes.

So as far as functionality and sound quality, they're just as good?

Without entering the discussion of these specific models a discrepancy between prestigious features and lack of these may be mentioned:
Models with lots of nickel silver in slides, ferrules, wreaths, and stays in general are considered high-end. However all-brass models in some cases come out much more responsive and alive due to the lesser stiffness of the material. If durability is the main priority, then go with nickel silver.

True, plus my TE-186 has the bell wreath and a nickel leadpipe.kingconn wrote:They don't have the decorations on the ferrules and slide tubes.
