beer float?

Post by ken k »

Howdy fellow tubenetters, I enjoy getting variety cases of beer to taste the different brews a brewer will make. I recently bought a Samuel Adams Brewmaster's Collection case which included four bottles of 6 different flavors. One of the brews was a cream stoudt, imagine Guinness or Yuengling Porter.

The back label reads "Who wants dessert? Samuel Adams Cream Stoudt is brewed with roasted chocolate malted barley. The resulting flavors pair perfectly with a bowl of vanilla ice cream. just pour a little in your glass and a little over the top of the ice cream and enjoy."

So i had to try it. The ice cream smooths out the hoppiness and makes for a delicious combination. Brings new meaning to Root Beer Float!

At the Flying Saucer, they serve a beer float. Young's Double Chocolate Stout and vanilla ice cream. It is quite tasty. :)
