I don't want this post locked. I have no numbers to contribute. I wish I could get an F tuba. It is both sunshine and rain in Oregon today. I don't have a sinus or wisdom tooth update, but am nervous about an impending surgery. I think there is way too much time and techonolgy in the Elephant's back row, and I really like the pirate picture.

Have a nice day, flooding in Fargo is back to normal, only twenty five feet above flood stage. Everything is a calm. Only a million plus sandbags required as compared to the four million last year. NIMBY is alive and well here, no sense in considering the good of the whole. Buy more sandbags.

Today is my 12th anniversary. I will be taking my three children and my new-to-me Conn to a college-community band rehearsal tonight, after being thoroughly satisfied with it in Wagner and Rimsky-Korsakov at a college-community orchestra (different college) last night. I have really been lusting after that fat classic American sound (as opposed to the not-so-classic Fat American sound many of us make daily) and have found it in a relatively inexpensive and compact package in my BAEbT. The 6/4 CC BAT will have to wait a little longer, but this will definitely tide me over. I may have also found a buyer for the excellent-first-CC-Schiller in one of my former students.

Update:

I've just rediscovered Thomas Dolby and his "The Golden Age Of Wireless". I hadn't really really listened to any of his stuff since coming to college. All I can say is "Wow, so that's been missing in my life this last year or two." More recent artists don't hold a candle to this guy.
