Standing tubas/euphoniums bell down.

If I had a large collection of tubas I'd build a set of shelves that were wide enough to hold tubas; if you don't want bell down, you put in something that they can hang from the bottom bow on, instead of shelves; bow-shaped hangers, maybe. You ought to be able to get two tubas, vertically, and then depending on the length of the wall, however many rows of two tubas that would fit.

Then, if I had little kids or rowdy pets, I'd put one of those flip-lock things at the top of the door of the room they were kept in, that could only be reached by people tall enough to not be a danger. I would make sure, however, that my spouse was tall enough to reach it

I have enough closet space to hold most of my toys, but generally a few of them are sitting on the couch communing with each other anyway.

Did you ever stop to consider that maybe tuba salespeople and repair tech do that in the store to get customers to think it's OK so they end up bending the bell and have to bring it back and pay to get it fixed?

The question you SHOULD be asking is, what do they do with THEIR OWN tubas?

It's certainly convenient to go bell down, and I do it with my new horn in my office on a thick, soft, hunk of carpet. I worried for years about the crease in my Cerv 681 bell, but finally figured out that that crease exactly fit the angle in its misfit hard case.
