Jabba the Hutt Piano Transcription?

Post by JHardisk »

Hey Tubenetters!

I'm on the hunt for the elusive Jabba the Hutt piano accompaniment transcription. I have 2 leads on it, but I'm hoping there's an easier solution here on tubenet from someone who has completed this same quest.

Does anyone have the piano transcription already?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have one, which I think is more accurate than others I have seen. Email me.

I have played Scott Sutherland's tuba/piano version of Jabba many times and can say that it works very well and is pretty darn close to the film version and one used in the Jedi Orchestral Suite. Scott also did a wonderful arrangement of a Star Wars Suite for Brass Quintet that is a multi-movement work where Jabba is one of the movements. Both arrangements get a great response from the audience every time I've used them.

It was once included in an anthology of John Williams' film music. I remember it looking very sparse, but never heard it played. I'm sure I have it around here somewhere. I think that was probably printed in the mid-1990's.

Good luck!
