Hello all,
Here's a couple for you:
1) Have you ever had issues with your mute corks squeaking on insertion/removal from your bell?
2) Any luck with a solution? If so, how the heck did ya do it?
Thanks all,
Al

Re: Squeaky mute corks!
I haven't had to deal with a tuba mute, but maybe cork grease would help? Just enough to be a VERY light coat, but not enough to be anything more...
Maybe a light coating of parafin wax on them...
just a few ideas...

Just take a bar of DRY soap and rub it up and down the length of each cork numerous times. No more squeaks!! It's cheap, not as messy as grease and hopefully you have a bar of soap!
