Curious to see where bloke was getting his story, I conducted a web search. I found this exact material at The Lesbian Conservative. This proves that bloke is a lesbian ... to about the same degree of confidence that the cited material proves anything about Earth Day.

Most of these posts are from demonstrably right-wing organizations with an agenda. While he was undeniably involved, I didn't find any article substantiating Einhorn's actually founding of anything. They simply state that Einhorn made claims...

It does? I think you managed to get a well deserved "jeez" for your cut and paste smear, no evidence of anyone with an idol, and a pretty bizarre notion of truth. I certainly will not be intimidated into sheepishly denying that "Earth Day" is *Marxist-Leninist (again, commemorating the 100th Birthday of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin) in its origin just because it is your intention to paint the belief of that obvious truth as some sort of wacko-ism.

Including the liberty to indulge in the occasional wacko-ism, if you choose. I wouldn't dream of trying to intimidate anyone! But I wonder if we're overlooking some of the other things that have made the US work. To take an issue that isn't painted as `environmentalism' by the media, but probably should be, haven't we benefited greatly from huge areas of fertile, arable land? But I read that about half the soil we started with in the Great Plains is gone. That's no immediate worry, all you need is a few inches, but it has to stop anyway, right? Or some generation hence will pay for our carelessness. This means farmers must practice conservation that's against their own short term interest, for the sake of our country's survival in the long term. Our ability to step up to that has been, and will be, a sign of our strength and durability as a country, even though it must compromise our individual liberty. Acquifers, same story with a time line that is in some cases closer to the present.

Individual liberty as the sole guiding principle, leads to ruin in the end - the same outcome as the Soviet and Chinese systems, where the authoritarian government's responsibility for production trumps its responsibility for environmental and personal health and safety.

I don't really care, Blokey, if you think Earth Day is a communist plot. As they say, "It's a free country." Believe what you will. Say what you want. Really. Please do. I can honestly say that you give me more to think about than probably anyone else on TubeNet. You continually make me re-evaluate my own opinions and ideas, because your usually thoughtful and intelligent statements challenge them. "Steel against steel" as our friend, Doc, once told me on this forum.

All I was pointing out was that Earth Day was NOT created by the person you claim. Further, in response to your rather snide challenge to Donn concerning his "googling" skills, I pulled up your search link that you offered as evidence to FIND NO EVIDENCE of the sort. Nothing there supports your claim. Merely innuendo and suggestion. No facts. I did point out that there seemed to be an obvious political slant to the items arising from that search. Not a judgement. Just a statement.

As far as anyone's idols...I have no idea who or what you are talking about. None of the "idols" named by you were mentioned in any posts, save Tuba Tinker's joke (which I chuckled at, by the way). No one here has offered up those named as idols.

As far as whether it is a coincidence that Earth Day falls on Lenin's Birthday, I say it is, but I am willing to be educated. Show me ANY evidence that this is fact.

Despite all your talk here, you offer NO evidence that anything you have said on this topic is true. The only evidence you offer is revealed as suspect, and rather than addressing that issue and offer supporting facts, you start making wild, shotgun accusations.
