Valve springs for Conn 2xJ

Post by jstrother123 »

My Conn 25J is in need of new valve springs, where would be a good place to get them? Thanks.

Generic Allied A-383 springs. Any repairman should be able to get you a set.

How about the Yamaha euph springs? I keep meaning to get a set to try out on my rather stiffly sprung King Eb...

The Yamaha euph springs (same ones as are used in the Yamaha Eb tubas) are great springs to use in the Kings. The 20J has A LOT more friction area than the Kings. You'll find out if you have great valves or not if you put in Yamaha springs.
