If anyone could help me find a recording of this piece, I would be EXTREMELY gratuitous towards them. Thanks!
I can't even find a reference to any composer with the last name "Alare." Perhaps you meant "Gliere" (although his Op.57 doesn't include a "Morceau de Concours)?

Also, please look up a definition of the word "gratuitous." I'm quite sure it's not the meaning you intended when you wrote that sentence!

EDIT: A little more research led to the name "G. Alary."

I found several like that online. I'm pretty sure that's accompaniment only with no solo recorded, but that may be enough for the OP.

The sound clip seemed to have something more than the accompaniment. Best I could do in 2 minutes before I lost interest...

Yep...the sound sample sure does (I hadn't checked to be sure, I was just "pretty sure" it wouldn't). That begs the question...who wants to buy an "accompaniment CD" with the solo part on it???

However, this should fill the bill for the OP. Time for the gratuitousness.

I'm expecting EXTREME gratuitousness. :)
