If it includes Flash (which it appears to,) so you can actually surf most sites, than I give it a thumbs up over the ipad.
Only downside is the resolution - 800x400 for a 7" screen is pretty shabby these days.

<soapbox rant>
Being an advocate for free/open source software, I'm more inclined to purchase an Android tablet than I am an Apple iPad. Apple's VERY restrictive software installation practices are a real turn off for me. I shouldn't have to be told by the manufacturer HOW I may use a product. If I want to use a circular saw to open a can of cranberry sauce....that's my right to do so. Do I think the iPad is a nice product, yes I do. I'd just like to be able to have more freedoms.

Here you go, TubaTodd.

I am in complete agreement with your opinions about Apple's recent business and tech decisions. I imagine the CEO and other company heads at Google are sending fruit baskets to Steve Jobs--the tyrannical hold that Apple is exerting on their most recent products is making a lot of people switch over to the Android platform.

Is it true that Apple will shortly unveil a larger version of the iPad to be called the MAX-iPad?
