FWIW, I did what I had to do, and within two years I was square with the IRS.

I don't really know anything about Pat Benatar, though I've heard the name a million times before.

I always thought Pat was a man, and was completely shocked to see *her* on TV just now. Whoops!

Round three of experimental work starts tomorrow. Trying to mimic DO and pH levels we see in natural conditions. These experiments will require 24-h monitoring and near constant manipulation.

Hope that doesn't include the Gulf of Mexico...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

None of them have the letters "Q" or "Z" in their names...

I am back from Alte Comarade band practice, about as ready as I will ever be for our concert in the barn (hanger) out at Art Daniel's ranch on Sunday. Now I am off to see church clowns.

Beginning to master the new baby stuff. Got the stroller and baby carrier figured out last night and figured out the car seat and how it works with the baby. Tomorrow I'll actually put the car seat in the car and the truck and get that figured out. The bassinette was figured out and set-up about a month ago. The crib will be picked up next weekend and then put together as soon as we get moved the next week.

Baby's due on Aug. 2. I'm excited but starting to get a little freaked out    You have been baby updated.

WHY do applaud at the end of a *movie* in the movie theater at the end of a movie they liked?

This drives me crazy. Applause is only meaningful if the performers are there to hear it and appreciate it.

The musical event - "Music in the Barn" went well considering we had a major thunderstorm during the event.
That is why we had music in the barn/hanger. Good beer, good food, good people and good music; good time had by all.

I can't taste rum. It's the weirdest thing, but if I make a drink with rum, I can't taste it, and have to be careful about how much I add. I can't taste it, but it's no less effective on me!

Anything distilled down to water and ethanol will have no flavor - I mean, alcohol is perceptible in sufficient strength, but not as a flavor. Rum can have flavor though. Haitian Barbancourt, for a pleasant example.

I was really expecting a picture of you amidst that geolgical feature mentioned in Matt 16:18. Looks like a very nice place despite the water warnings.

Yeah, I'm sure the good stuff has a good taste, I'm talking about the alcohol-ness of it. That is, making 2 drinks, I can't taste mine, my wife takes a sip and goes "whooooa!"

Just another reason to stick with beer and whiskey. :)
