This is a great album, lots of fun, authentic in some ways but too clean and too controlled for 'true' authenticity.
There's nothing like a big old circus band that's cranking because they love playing. I heard a Ringling Band (mostly pick-up players) that raised the hair on my neck playing Barnum and Bailey's Favorite. Fire and brimstone shot out of the band, the arena burned and everybody died. God that was good playing.
