First they came for the violas, and I did not speak out--
because I do not play viola;
Then they came for the oboes, and I did not speak out--
because I do not play oboe;
Then they came for the conductors, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a conductor;
Then they came for my tuba, and I did not speak out--
because I was too busy drinking and celebrating!
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Rev Rob, what happened to the '04 Honda? Did you break it?
As a retired rural carrier, I hear a Subaru Forrester can be an excellent mail delivery vehicle. Hope Ms. Susan enjoys it.
My son is a rural mail carrier and is hooked on 1984 Oldsmobiles for mail delivery. They have good radios, ice cold air, tranny coolers and a huge trunk.

On the 16th of June we had quite a hail storm. I mean knocking car windows out hail. Hail pretty much demolished her car - spider webbed the front wind shield, knocked out the back window and rear deck and speakers, dented up the whole body. The Honda was pretty thin skinned. This Honda was a good car. We will see if the Subaru measures up. At least it is easier for me to get in and out of.

My 20 month old was found with my Kellyberg blowing into it the correct way and making lots of music. She has not seen me play my tuba yet so it was completely unprompted. We could have a future Velvet Brown on hands.....

Just got back from a tour of the birthing center. We're set-up for the car seat safety class Thursday evening. One more month till the baby comes (assuming she comes on time and not early). I cannot wait to meet this little one.

Heading to Upstate NY (Canandaigua and Syracuse) tomorrow. If anybody from the board happens to frequent the West Side Irish Bars of Syracuse on Friday night (St. Eves, better known as Steves or the infamous Colemans), my brother, sisters, and 12 cousins with various spouses and children, will be trying our best to be the loudest bunch in either. If you show up, I'm buying a round. YOU have been updated.

Heading to Minnesota tomorrow morning for a week with the wife's family. They're taking us to a Minnesota Orchestra pops concert on Saturday. I must be in good favor with them! :)

Thanks Man. Actually Upstate is home. I grew up in Rome, NY. I love everything about it except for January, February, and March. Miss the Budweiser Christmas', but not the stinking, snowy cold. Looking forward to revisiting some old haunts and hooking up with old friends in the convivial atmosphere of some old stomping grounds. Now, give me a beef on wick and a Matt's and all will be well.

Too bad it isn't the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra, you might see someone you know there. :-)

Let us know just how quickly it takes for you to acquire a Minnesota accent and be Minnesota nice as opposed to Baltimore bad. :wink:

6 services @ $100 per service for rehearsals and a concert in which the only piece the tuba plays is Dvorak 8.

God, I love playing the tuba. :D
