Friend, Not that I like UGA (I don't, really) or that I dislike UT (I do, really), but this is a great highlight:

Collected rocks with my wife, after having played Dixieland (When the Saints, Go Marching In) at a funeral and in a bar. Definitely Eb tuba territory. Challenging - transposing an octave down on the fly. I'm not that good, at least not yet.
Beginning again to be a tuba player.

Collecting more rocks - not a problem where I live - after having played on a float in the Absarokee Days parade.

The baby's due date has come and gone with no baby. However, I have an inservice at the school tomorrow, which is 25 miles away; I'm betting I get a call mid morning saying its time

I was supposed to leave on a week long Girly Ride motorcycle trip today. Surgery (mine) and knee injuries (my partner) are keeping us from going. On a good note, I will be able to play in the Tuba Ensemble's Summer Concert in the Park. I think the good note is probably a Gb.

At 36 years of age, I just changed my first diaper EVER and it was NOT a wet one  I suppose I should get used to it now as there are many more in my future. Strangely enough, I am excited about that prospect.

Ok. My first update:

Took my son and one of his friends shooting yesterday. tried out a new .223 that I got as a back-up weapon at my law enforcement job. Put the first 15 consecutive rounds in a 1 foot circle at 50 meters, using iron sights (no scope).

Guess I taught the kids a lesson. You can't run fast or far enough if I get really mad.....

Now only if my daughter's boyfriend had seen that...........

I made some of the best sausage balls I ever made yesterday. Here is my slightly altered recipe:

1 package regular sausage
1 package hot sausage
2 level cups all-purpose baking mix
2 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 medium to large onion, chopped finely
1 1/2 to 2 celery stalks, chopped finely
Mix very thoroughly and make into about 54 balls
Preheat oven to 375 and bake for about 30 minutes or until fully browned. Turn over midway.
