(Usual) Bore of a Martin valve set?

Post by UTSAtuba »

Hey guys,

I have some big plans for my Monster Eb. I plan on getting calipers really soon, but I was just wondering if anyone knows the bore on most Martin valve sets. Particularly, a Monster (or other sized) Eb.

Thanks,

Joseph

You can estimate it with a ruler or a tape measure. Calipers really aren't required, but will probably be more accurate.

It will probably be .680ish inches or possibly .710.

My larger Martin Ebs seem to measure at about .690; a smaller older model comes in at .670.

Bump.

What other older valve sets would be compatible with a Martin valve set? The size is about .700" . I'm looking to add a fourth, or find a four valve set from another Martin (haha, yeah right!)
