JinBao Cross Reference

Post by jhedrick »

So, is there a list of which horns "inspired" which model of JinBao?
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

Ive been asking for exactly the same thing. These horns are not going away and it would really be worthwhile to know. Far from pulling players away from other mainline makers....it will lead us to them. I play a 186 clone now.....but am looking for a better horn as a result of the success Ive had with this cheaper but well build starter horn. Come on guys....help us out!

The Jinbao JBSH100 sousaphone appears to be based on a Blessing. I thought they threw this together as a 'sousaphone' just to have one in the catalog, but I tried one at the NAMM show and it's actually a good instrument with a compact sound and a very smooth bass-trombone-like blat at quadruple forte compared to King or Conn or especially Jupiter.
