Recommended Tuba Solo w/ Concert Band?

Hi,
My conductor just called me this morning to QUICKLY find a Tuba solo for me next year because I'm graduating,
I'm playing it on a large C tuba and I need it to be with a Concert band arrangement, not a too tough solo (Grade 5 or less).
The only known tuba-band solo over here in Israel is Solo Pomposo.. I'm sure there are other things over there!..

There is always the standard Beelzebub. As a rank amateur I played it with a community band and was able to do it alright, but it isn't too basic. I don't know if you can find it in print still though.

Martin Ellerbys Tuba concerto is brilliant ! Grade 5 - probably.I think you can find a performance on youtube....or not, sheetmusicplus.com has it , and you can listen to it there...

Thanks again for your help guys, I have looked over the pieces and it seems that none of them would actually fit my needs..
I need something that is shorter than 5 minutes, simple and catchy (not a concerto) and of course, easy work for the orchestra because it consists kids as young as 13 years old..

here's a "golden oldie" that I hadn't thought of for years!

"A Touch of Tuba" by Art Dedrick. Grade 4, I think, and published by Kendor. Corny, but fun.

Bass in the Ballroom by Roy Newsome seems to fulfil your requirements.

It is quite effective and playable on whatever key of tuba you use - I have at various times played on Eb, CC and F. It is only about 3 minutes long, so fulfils your criteria.

You might could try "Concertino for Tuba" by James Curnow. It has a band accompaniment for the piece. It's not too hard and you might could squeeze it under 5 minutes.

Our entire tuba section of four played in unison "Al Hayes" (aka Henry Fillmore) Solo Pomposo with our Community Concert Band a year ago last Spring. It's fairly easy (our first sight reading went fairly well) and a crowd pleaser in addition to being fun. It lasts about 5 1/2 min.
