I'm not trying to do anything illegal but rather am just looking for information so I can be properly informed
With Sibelius 6 are you allowed to put it on more than one computer? I know that a lot of software allow you to put it on your desktop and your laptop with the same license so I'm just curious if Sibelius operates that same way. What about the differences between the educational and the pro pack since I'm looking to purchase this for the school. I have my desktop in my office and then a school laptop that I use in the classroom with the projector so I'd prefer not to have to spend the money for 2 licenses if I don't have to. Of course this is assuming that the admin will approve the expenditure
My license agreement (for the previous version) reads:
(2) If the Product is a Single Copy, you may install the Software on a single computer. You may also install a second copy on one additional computer, provided that you ensure that you are the only person who uses the Software on either computer, and that the Software is never used on both computers simultaneously.
I bought Sibelius 5 through my job last year, and the educational pack came with a license for two computers, which was perfect because there were two of us at that school. Based on that, it shouldn't be a problem.

Aye, this is still in with Sibelius 6, so you can install the same copy on two computers.
Thanks for the advice and the link to the Sibelius forum. The Sibelius forum pretty much said the same thing that you can use on two different computers so now to see if the admin will approve the expenditure.
Thanks
If you are going to be doing any revisions/editing on existing scores, you must have Photoscore. It saves me about 10 hours per piece when I have to edit a score to simplify parts for my church group. Note by note entry is so slow and keyboard entry requires skills I don't have. It has really come a long way in that I can scan in a 20 page full orchestra/choir score, correct the scanning errors and be in business in a couple of hours. A couple of years ago this was a 10/12 hour process.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
