Home made tuba stand

I've had some of the pieces for this cut out for quite some time, but found some inspiration in an earlier post. I thought I would post a few photos of my design to possibly give other ideas. This was made mostly out of recycled oak pallets. I wanted something hefty to potentially transfer some vibration in to the floor. I also have a student who wants to use a stand to have the ability to stand up and play. These two design considerations were incorporated. Our new hall has a special flooring system designed by the acousticians to be more floating than previous concert hall flooring systems, and I'm looking forward to trying it out. I think my next iteration of the stand will be to use the wood species used in the hall, maple and sycamore.

How difficult will that be to transport?

That is a very nice stand, and your pleasure in woodworking shows in the details of your finished product. How many drills did you burn up in those recycled oak pieces? They're nearly as tough as railroad rails.
