Searching for all kinds of tuba parts
Hi everybody, where would I go to get old useless tuba parts such as bells from all sizes and tubes even euphoneums...(is that spelled right?) I'm going to make a few abstract tuba wall sculptures and could use parts to work with my abstract and realistic metal work.... Do any of you Sponsors have old parts you don't use?? Crumpled bells tuning slides tubing..as long as part of it's good....If any of you guys have these old no good parts .. would you be willing to send them to me? and how much do you think it might cost?? I have tried down the street at the horn hospital near my house .... no go till later in the school year..I have several Ideas for Tuba wall sculptures!!A.J. will be proud<s>Thanks...........BB

Re: Searching for all kinds of tuba parts
Hi, Bob!
After ten years of having my own shop... I've not scrapped one single part except for a few 'rotted out' trumpet and tuba leadpipes. I even 'fished' a tuba carcass out of the wife's fishpond fountain to salvage part of the bell to build a horn.
I wish I could help you but at this point... but, parts is parts.
