Just thinking about the loss to our community, and wondering if Harvey's older recordings will finally get re-released.
Anybody know anything about it?

Re: Harvey's Recordings
I had the pleasure of spending several days at Tuba Ranch during the summer of 2005. Since 2000 I had been assisting Mr. Phillips with documenting all of his recordings. (At last count we had documented over 200). I brought up the subject of his solo LPs on Golden Crest and made the case for re-releasing them "as is" on CD. He seemed to prefer continuing with the Legacy series.... more of a "Best of" format.... rather than what I was suggesting. I still prefer they be made available "as is," like what was done with the New York Brass Quintet recordings..... two LPs per CD.

It would be great to have the original "albums", in addition to Legacy recordings!
