Glad you guys like James' video. He did a great job of spoofing tuba auditions (including himself). Thankfully none of us act like that. Amazing how much our perspective changes as we grow older and wiser...

I'm not looking to start a pissing match, but the portion of the video where one candidate scolds the other for not having 'audition-worthy' instruments was ironic to me. At ITEC 2010, Tubashaman was pretty quick to talk smack about my old, beat-up, anything-but-trendy tuba.

Although my tuba is much uglier than James' 1291, it has the notable difference of having paid for itself twice over. Looks ain't everything.
