Famous notes for Tuba??
Good Morning everyone ..I'm making a York Tuba wall sculpture and want to put notes and a staff up above the sculptures bell.. What is the most famous line of music immediately associated with the tuba??? I keep thinking of those notes from "close encounters of the third kind" after the space ship landed ... Do any of you all know of something more famous?? That would instantly be associated with the Tuba?? any help would be appreciated.........BB

Another vote for Ride. If you are skilled (and a little sadistic) at sculpting, go for Fountains!

Only two notes required. Check out the theme from "Jaws".

I'd also vote for either Ride or Jaws (or both) ahead of Close Encounters.

I like Tchaik 4; but I don't think it is the most famous.bloke wrote:...

Re: Famous notes for Tuba??
York was an important early 20th century American company... I'd go with the Gershwin for that reason...

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
