UW-Milwaukee is a campus of about 26,000 and is located on the shores of Lake Michigan, with one of the finest libraries in the world, and access to plenty of cultural events, including the superb Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
Between three concert bands, two symphony orchestras, and several chamber groups (including an actively performing Tuba/Euphonium Quartet and a Graduate Brass Quintet), UWM offers students a great deal of performing opportunities. In addition to private lessons with Mr. Erickson (you will NOT be studying with a graduate assistant for the first few years), there is a weekly Tuba/Euphonium Studio Master Class conducted by Mr. Erickson where we explore various aspects of warm-ups, performance, and pedagogy as well as performing for, and being critiqued by, other students in the studio.
