cool pic I wanted to share...
here´s something I stumbled over on the German Tubaforum today...
http://www.3dmax.de/neu/galerie/lade.php3?id=14631
As far as I could tell, it is a 5+4 cylinder BBb...
Have fun.

Re: cool pic I wanted to share...
Opposite valve tubas do exist - I saw one in Prague - or could have been modified in the making. Not something a hot-rodder might care about if he had to move things around to make it work.
After further looking - I am not 100% positive it is faked. Dumb Fun, yes - but there are just enough logical details that makes me hesitate. (and I work with Photoshop all the time - I know what it can do

I would be willing to put money down that it is computer generated.David Richoux wrote:I am not 100% positive it is faked.

Re: cool pic I wanted to share...
I will go with 99.9% - mainly because of the mirror image tuba and no reflection of the photographer in the bell - but it is very well done, otherwise. I loaded it into Photoshop and looked at edges and blends - high quality...averagejoe wrote:I would be willing to put money down that it is computer generated.David Richoux wrote:I am not 100% positive it is faked.
and fun.
If it is real, I bet Ulik had something to do with it.

Does anyone else see that the original pic is a left-handed tuba? Or am I just crazy?

It's still right-handed if you play it upside downshinytuba7 wrote:Does anyone else see that the original pic is a left-handed tuba? Or am I just crazy?

Did you know Homer was designed by a tubist? (he took the original Matt Groening version and drew it like we know him now - also many of the other characters.)sugawi wrote:

No, that one's fake. THIS one is obviously not faked and as real as they come.

What adds to the credibility is what you can't see off camera; Dick Cheney is giving him the hand.toobaa wrote:No, that one's fake. THIS one is obviously not faked and as real as they come.
