Dear Elephant:

I'm complaining about software updates to smartphones. they are a pain, even if they make the darn things work better.

Dear Elephant,

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard? With a name like "elephant" I thought you might be the guy to ask.

Any explanations welcome.

Please tell the sports "writers" (and I use that term loosely) that it's "bi-week" (as in two weeks off) and not "bye week."

While you're at it, tell them the word is "seated," not "seeded." We're talking rank placement here, not hamburger buns.
Wrong, on both counts.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seed_(sports" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank)
So, Wikipedia entries that reference the adopted corruptions of both terms is your research?

Well, bravo!

Try again.
Take it up with the NFL, which employs the phrase "bye week" in the ~4200 articles and press releases posted on its website, dating back to 2006; in contrast to zero (0) uses of "bi-week."

Dear Elephant,

Why does anyone think you can actually answer any of these questions?

And why am I posting this question?

Since my 3 seconds of internet research is apparently not enough for you, here is another 3 seconds worth of research:

Good enough?

Dear Elephant,

Why is there is no "I" in team, while there is an "I" in independence, individuality and integrity?
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Nope, sorry. No cigar pour vous.

I think 6 seconds is enough of your valuable time wasted. Thanks for playing.

Too much time on this in a MA linguistics course already... Fun, but done.
Interesting points. One thing is true no mater who is right: Languages are always changing. Assuming LJV is correct, at this point, the change is solidly in place.

Possibly because, although you correctly used the word "ax", unfortunately you misspelled it.

Dear Elephant,
Why can't Houston sports teams seem to pull their heads out of their 'you-know-what's?
Can you fix it?

They seem to have been undisturbed BECAUSE of their lack of eye sight...
Picky, picky. Just demonstrating my lack of brainsight...

if it is truly a "bi" week, does that man my girl friend has to invite along a friend?

Dear Elephant,
If a group of players with the same instruments sits in two rows, is that a bisection?

Curious, but yellow
