I thought the idea of changing the rhythm in tempo to really hear the pitches was brilliant. I've never heard of that, but it makes perfectly good sense.

I am convinced that 90% of the problems with rhythm, tone, intonation, articulation, technique, and overall prowess on the horn are related to air issues.
