I'll second the sentiment. Thank You to ALL the men and women of the US who have served and continue to do so.

My sincere thanks to those who have defended, or continue to defend the freedom we enjoy today.

I just spoke with my good friend. He is going out to dinner tonight with his 2 sons, one active AF, one ex-Navy, and Jim a Vietnam Navy vet. It seems as if Appelbee's [a national chain of restaurants?] offers free dinners every Veterans Day to our vets; what a wonderful way of corporate America saying thank you! It makes you wonder why more do not do something similar? :(

I have been to France playing on the Somme today. Very wet and windy! Picture of my tuba on bus travelling between parades.

If you are trying to make out the music on lyre, it is the British and French national anthems

Neptune,

I am sure that the gratitude of the living to you for honoring the dead trumps even the heaviest rain. Thank you for service to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
