Are all the tubas the same key, make, model, # of valves & series run (ie. similar serial numbers)? These make a much bigger difference than brass, vs silver.

In my opinion, mouthpiece and playing style make a bigger difference, as well.
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
