Need some orch parts/recordings

Hello TNFJ,
Need a few full tuba parts, anyone have them?

Bruckner-Symph. 7-Haas Edition
Stravinsky-Petroushka-1947 Edition
Ravel-Daphnis and Chloe Suite No. 2

Also, any suggestions on good recordings for the Ravel piece(the orchestral suite, not the full ballet) or Revueltas' Sensemaya?

There is a Los Angeles recording of Sensemaya that is the best I have ever heard. I believe it is from the mid-1990s.

Thank you for the link to Luck's music Tom. That will prove helpful if the pdf search comes up dry (and unfortunately any other purchases I make will have to wait for after the holidays). I had already Amazon'ed and just wanted some recommendations on which recording people liked best.

Mark, is the solo being played by Norm Pearson, or Bobo? It's the Esa-Pekka Salonen recording you're speaking of, correct? Just want to be sure of my purchase. Like I previously mentioned to Tom above, holidays are a tight money time for a recently married college grad. Just don't want to get the wrong one.

Thanks for the links Ben. This post inquiry is part of my preparation for the NJSO audition, so I do have that excerpts list and pdf's from them already. I like to learn the full part listening/playing with a recording as if I'm preparing them for a concert. If they ask for any other section, then I'm not sight reading. It's also good because I know what the other parts are playing. I typically use just the tuba part instead of a score, because quite honestly I'd rather see what I'm going to see during performances, and score reading hurts my head sometimes...As for the NYPhil youtube, already been/listened there as well, it is a great one, but I cannot play along in my practice room with my terrible laptop speakers.

Pierre, thanks for the links. Those are from the Cherry CD right? I have them already and I'm pretty sure the Bruckner is not the Haas edition. I do have that part for the Ravel, I was just wondering if that was the whole thing? It looks cut off in the beginning.

Also, does anyone know if the Ravel part on the Cherry CD is the full part? I have that already, but it looks cut off in the beginning. If it is not the full part than I need that too.

You still "need" the Haas edition of tuba part to Bruckner Symphony No. 7 and you're not sure if your Ravel part is complete? That sounds like a big problem to me considering that the audition is Feb. 21 and you don't have the material...

For $12/part you can order the Bruckner and Ravel parts that you need from Luck's and KNOW they are right. I think $12/part is a small price to pay to know that you're working with the right material, but if you want to keep asking around here, more power to you...clearly getting another member to send you their copy for free is more important than just getting it period and knowing that you got the right stuff.

Same goes for the recording of the Ravel. There are plenty of them out there and the retailers are more than happy to ship overnight if you need it that bad. If you need one urgently, just pick one rather than engage the Tubenet community in a discussion about which one they recommend and who played the tuba part.

Good luck getting the parts and recordings you need to learn this material before the audition on February 21. The clock is ticking.
