Tubenet addiction
Interesting. I still like to visit occasionally, but I am no longer addicted.

More like a diversion, from my day job (and sometimes night job) as an IT/cubicle slave.
But, I DO get to practice in the closet many days after work!

During school vacations (like now) I log on quite a bit. Otherwise, once in the morning and once in the evening usually does it.

I have wondered why there were posts that only said "a few in a row".the elephant wrote:every now and again I will post a few in a row
I thought that it might be some secret code.
Now I know that it's only Wade "gitten 'er done"!

Re: Tubenet addiction
I check in about once a day to see if there's anything interesting.
Oh well, better luck tomorrow.

Still fairly new here, but have other fora I visit fairly regularly. Not an "addict" really, just check in about once a day, either at my music store or in the evening at home.

Re: Tubenet addiction
I don't think I am addicted to TubeNet as I used to be. A couple years ago, I would almost check by the hour, but now look in once, or twice a day.
The reasons for the change are partly I now feel I have the tubas for me, so don't feel I so need advice/inspiration, but mainly because I am now happily married. Before, I now realise I visited here so frequently because I was lonely and I came for the social interaction. Although the social is still a factor as I have made a number of good friends through TubeNet.

I am still addicted, but not as much as I used to be. I used to read every post...now, I only read the ones that interest me. I do come here several times a day, but usually for less than a minute each time.

I go in fits and starts. Usually check once a day, but sometimes more, and occasionally miss a few days. Still enjoy reading most of the posts, though.

I look in most every day.
I try to only post when I have something useful to add.
I count many tubenetters as friends.
The knowledge and wisdom imparted here is a great asset to any tuba afficionado.

Re: Tubenet addiction
I used to be on TubeNet many times during a day. As of late I have tapered off quite a bit. The tuba passion is still their, but I get caught up in other things. As I start playing and practicing more, I may drop in on TubeNet more.
Beginning again to be a tuba player.

I'm addicted because I'm looking for that 120000 dollar a year tuba playing job mentioned on that Yama-York thread which talked about the 35000 invitation only Tuba. I have my yard chair and sit at the mail box all day waiting for my invitation( with my lap top of course).

Re: Tubenet addiction
You need to find the offer on eBay for the 'subliminal learning' CD for tuba. You turn the CD on, go to sleep and, after doing this for a few months, you sound like a young Arnold Jacobs.Brown Mule wrote:I'm addicted because I'm looking for that 120000 dollar a year tuba playing job mentioned on that Yama-York thread which talked about the 35000 invitation only Tuba. Sure wish it worked...
