Berlioz Te Deum
Why is it out of all the excerpts out there this one is not a top 5 with soaring lines at extreme volumes, lyric, and rhythmic passages this pieces is definitely a large endurance challenge. Is it just because of its very slim chance of finding it in the folder?

Yeah. Required excerpts are usually selected from works an orchestra is likely to perform and the audition panel is likely to know.

Re: Berlioz Te Deum
I got asked to help an orchestra out in a rehearsal playing the Berlioz Te Deum a couple of years ago. I had never heard, or seen before, so was completely sight-reading. Not the easiest of works, but great fun tuba part - wish I could have done the concert!
