Jay Hunsberger CD

Post by dwaskew »

Ladies and gents--

For your listening pleasure I heartily recommend the new (like brand new) CD released by Jay Hunsberger and James Wilson (horn) on the Summit label. It's all about horn/tuba duo, and is just great playing, great ensemble, fun to listen to, etc.
Contents include:
Wilder, Suites 1 and 2 for horn, tuba/piano
Madsen, Divertimento, Op 43
Jan Bach, Oompah Suite
Basler, Ken Bits
and
Kellaway, Dance of the Ocean Breeze

thanks to all involved!

Jay is under the radar as a great tuba player but folks, he is the real deal.

I haven't received my copy yet but if you want to hear great sound, exceptional musicianship and effortless playing, contact Jay. Buy the album.

"The CD will be released from Summit Records on February 8th, but you may order your copy TODAY directly from Jay. To order a CD please email Jay with the note "Order CDs" in the subject line. The cost of a CD is $15 (includes shipping) which is less than they will be sold for on the Summit site."

I won't post his email address but you can find it on his USF website, http://jaytuba.arts.usf.edu.
