Pictures at an Exhibition - never played it all

Post by jmerring »

I have only ever played transciptions of a couple of the movements. My experience is therefore, quite limited in regard to this. The word 'Bydlo' did not exist on any movements. Can someone tell me which movement number or name this references?

The mention of transcriptions reminds me of the first time I played a band transcription (Kliensinger, as I recall) way back in about 64. A "promising" high school euphonium player - Brian Bowman - played the solo part. It really was as good as any I have ever heard. The part in that complete transcription is a lot of good fun.
