Does anyone know what is going on in Cincinnati? They mention a vacant position for tuba.

The auditions page doesn't list anything for tuba. 2nd Trombone is open, though.

I think what he is referring to is the listing on the CSO personnel page here which has the tuba position listed as 'Vacant.' It's probably better if we don't speculate wildly on Tubenet. Let someone who is informed respond with a post.

Last I heard (about a month ago), the current rumor is 2-3 years before an audition. With the music director leaving, they'll likely wait until things are settled with the new conductor before having a major principal audition.
