If you include sousys, I've had them. I'm now down to just my 186 with both bells, my two bass guitars, and my CCB.

Re: 3 CC/BBb Tubas?
It'd be my Mirafone 188, and then two other tubas I probably wouldn't use as much... one bigger (some kind of BAT) and one smaller (some kind of 184-like tuba). Although really, I've never tested or seriously searched for any sort of 6/4 or 3/4 tubas. Would take me quite some time to feel ready to "choose."

1291 Bb
nothing
nothing

OK, if I were to bow down to convention on this I'd check out small contrabasses to give me a horn between the 1291 and a bass tuba. Really, I'd prefer the 1291, a bass tuba, and a euphonium with a quint valve (1291, 1281, 2280 with quint and 6th). The 1291 wouldn't get played a lot so I could be fine with a copy.
3 of any low brass horns?
1281
big euph
small bore F bass/contrabone (working on this now to go with my contra!

Re: 3 CC/BBb Tubas?
If I had 3 CC tubas, I probably wouldn't play all of them, but...
my Gnagey CC
a Bruckner (or 1293)
then, I don't know if I would want to go larger or smaller. If I went smaller, I would just keep my Yamaha 621, currently on consignment at Baltimore Brass. Bump, sort of!
Larger? I'm not sure, but it would be a horn that didn't suck the air out of me!

I'd try to find the 186 BBb I sold last spring and maybe try a King 2341. That's all I need.

I've only played new ones, but I like these horns. Easy playing with none of the weirdness of the 5xJ's. A 2341 with an 18" bell would be interesting.1895King wrote:maybe try a King 2341.

Re: 3 CC/BBb Tubas?
Hard one!
Probably a Gnagey or King rotory (I haven't tried a Gnagey, but given his philosophy, execution and reputation, I already know I'd like it!
Rudy 4/4
MW 2000 or A 6/4 Kalison or York-thingy. But a King Monster BBb rotary would be ideal
I'm not very decisive, but a solid quintet ax, a great 4/4 and a bazooka.
(Currently own a Miraphone 184, Kalison DS).

A small CC - Conn 3J
A medium CC - Nirschl 4/4
A large CC - I would like my old Holton CC back from DP, but since I know that will never happen: Nirschl 6/4

Re: 3 CC/BBb Tubas?
I would say:
Miraphone 186-5U or 187-5U Pro BBb-Flat
Meinl-Weston Model 25 BB-Flat
Miraphone Model 282 3/4 BB-Flat Tuba
For my needs, this would work well.

Re: 3 CC/BBb Tubas?
Definitely my handmade goldbrass Mel Culbertson Neptune!
After that it gets difficult to say - I have rather liked the Rudolf Meinl 5/4 BBb and Nirschl York 6/4 I have played, but then that just gives me three BAT's. However, no smaller CC/BBb tubas I have owned, or tried have really done it for me.
I am quite happy to stay with just my Neptune, supplemented by PT-15 bass tuba
