Looks like could be one of interest to you Elephant? Appears to be engrave with just "Mel Culbertson Neptune"

This is NOT one of the first generation Neptunes. Those horns have "Mel Culbertson" engraved inside a laurel leaf design and 4098 engraved just below.

So did those early batches have the familiar engraving of the face of Neptune over the name, the fancy valve buttons and gold lacquer finish?

BTW The B&S website has silver plating as a Neptune option (4098-S) - has anyone ever seen a silver Neptune?

Yes, I won that auction a few weeks back. The seller has been slow to ship, but it's finally on its way. Seems like there's been a lot of good feedback regarding the Neptunes - hopefully this one is as good as the other rotary models out there. . .
